Jones Food Company opens second vertical farm in Gloucestershire

Product updates

  • Jones Food Company, a UK-based producer of leafy greens and herbs using hydroponics and renewable energy, has opened a vertical farm in Gloucestershire.

  • The farm, known as JFC2, is located near Lydney and will vertically grow 12 different herbs and salad leaves, including basil, coriander, flat-leaf parsley, dill, lettuce, pak choi, and baby leaf cress. These will be supplied through its homegrown range of salad bags, its Lēaf range of sauces and salad bags, and its own brand of herbs.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The Gloucestershire farm marks the second vertical farm for Jones Food Company , following the opening of its first site in Lincolnshire (JFC1) in 2018 and an innovation center in Bristol in 2022.
