Armis, the asset intelligence cybersecurity company, announced it has agreed to acquire AI-powered pre-attack threat hunting technology provider Cyber Threat Cognitive Intelligence (CTCI). The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, though sources value the deal at ~USD 20 million.
CTCI, founded in 2020, is developing AI-powered early warning systems, including the CVE early warning list (CEWL), a catalog of vulnerabilities which are often exploited by attackers. CTCI uses “honeypots” to gather information on the activities of cyber attackers.
CTCI’s technology will be integrated into Armis’ Centrix threat intelligence platform, combining Armis’ asset intelligence engine to feed information into CTCI’s databases, enabling a generation of early warning indicators based on dark web intelligence and honeypots.
