Eve Air Mobility, a company developing next-gen Urban Air Mobility (UAM) solutions, signed its first Urban Air Traffic Management (ATM) agreement in Japan with SkyScape, a Japanese vertiport development company.
SkyScape signed up as Eve’s 13th Urban ATM customer and sixth Urban ATM vertiport customer, while Eve continues to grow its vertiport customer portfolio globally.
As part of the agreement, the two companies will promote UAM in Japan and test and trial Urban ATM software, which includes data collection and sharing. Eve and SkyScape will further collaborate to demonstrate eVTOL design and testing, vertiport design, operation certification, and future autonomous operation development at SkyScape locations.
In addition, Eve partnered with Aciturri, a Spanish aerostructure developer, and Crouzet, a French mechatronic components developer, to source suppliers for its eVTOL aircraft.
Aciturri will produce the wing skins, spars, and trailing edges of the wing, while Crouzet will supply the pilot controls, specifically the inceptor for Eve’s eVTOL.
