Google has partnered with Reddit to access its data API to train its AI models and improve Google Search. The deal is reportedly worth USD 60 million per year.
The partnership enables Google to use real-time data for displaying, training, and indexing. Additionally, the partnership aims to make content on Reddit more accessible across Google products. However, Google claims its use of public content remains unchanged.
The partnership will also allow Reddit to leverage Google's Vertex AI to improve search and other functionalities on its platform, making participating in Reddit communities and conversations easier.
