Sweden-based Tink (subsidiary of Visa), an open banking infrastructure provider, has joined the SEPA Payment Account Access (SPAA) scheme, led by the European Payments Council.
Through Tink’s participation, it aims to support open data access and SPAA’s incentive on banks to invest in API and payment infrastructure. Since 2019, Tink has been a founding member of the SPAA Multi-stakeholder Group (SPAA MSG).
Analyst QuickTake: Notably, this news comes weeks after UK-based open banking infrastructure providers Token and TrueLayer announced their participation in SPAA.
