Yuga Labs is revamping its Bored Ape Yacht Club game, Dookey Dash, as a free-to-play version called "Dookey Dash: Unclogged." The company plans to release it alongside a USD 1 million prize pool and an early access offer for 10,000 players starting March 6.
Dookey Dash: Unclogged is an "endless runner" game where players navigate a vehicle through a sewage system full of obstacles, aiming to survive as long as possible and secure the top spot on the global scoreboard. The game is designed for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android platforms and does not necessitate ownership of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to participate.
Despite being free to play, Yuga Labs claims certain NFT owners, such as those of Bored Apes and Mutant Apes, will receive special benefits. The game's creation was assisted by Faraway, a crypto gaming startup, and will allow users to generate and sell their 3D assets within the game. The company also hinted at brand collaborations within the game.
