Ideogram, an image generation startup, has raised USD 80 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreeseen Horowitz (a16z), with participation from other investors such as Index Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Pear VC, and SV Angel.
The funds raised will be used for the continued development and scalability of Ideogram's image generation model.
The company also launched a new version of its image generation model, "Ideogram 1.0."
Analyst QuickTake: This news comes just seven months after the company’s seed round of ~ USD 16.5 million in August last year after the company’s launch. Ideogram compares with other image generation players in the market, like Midjourney and Stability AI.
