Anthropic, a provider of GenAI models and applications, has released multimodal model Claude 3 to process and understand text and photographic inputs reportedly better than prior models.
The company claims that Claude 3 can answer more questions, understand and process longer instructions, and be more accurate. The Claude 3 portfolio includes Haiku, Claude 3 Sonnet, and Claude 3 Opus, with Opus being the largest and claimed to be the most intelligent model. All three models can be used for chatbots, auto-completion, and data extraction tasks.
Opus and Sonnet models can be accessed via the API and chatbot Claude.ai, while Haiku is expected to be launched in the future.
Additionally, Claude 3 Sonnet will be available in Amazon’s Bedrock , with Opus and Haiku planned for future release. The models will also be available in Google’s Vertex AI ; Sonnet is available in public preview and others are set to be released shortly.
