Spatial announces Wolves Den Game Jam with celebrity gaming judges

Industry news

  • Social gaming metaverse Spatial is hosting its Wolves Den Game Jam contest to attract more game developers to its platform. The contest has a prize pool of USD 15,000 and will be judged by well-known gaming industry figures and celebrities, such as Ice-T, Cliff Bleszinski, Welyn, and Barji.

  • The contest starts with the top 25 projects selected by itch.io, reduced to eight by Spatial, and then to four finalists by judges. Finalists have 30 days to finalize their game for a second evaluation. Contest winners will be declared in May 2024.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The game jam indicates Spatial’s focus on bolstering user-generated content (UGC) on its platform, having announced the launch of its first season of in-house-created web-based games on web, mobile, and VR platforms in November 2023 .
