Joby Aviation acquires manufacturing facility in Ohio

Geographic expansion

  • Joby Aviation, an NYSE-listed eVTOL developer, has acquired a facility at Dayton International Airport and has begun hiring activities to initiate its manufacturing operations in Dayton, Ohio.

  • This facility will begin producing aircraft parts later this year to support Joby’s pilot production line in Marina, California. 

  • The new facility will allow Joby to expand its manufacturing capabilities to produce up to 500 eVTOL aircraft annually in Dayton.

  • Analyst QuickTake: This news follows Joby’s announcement in September 2023 , where the company selected Dayton, Ohio, to build a larger facility capable of producing up to 500 eVTOL aircraft. Joby had committed to investing up to USD 500 million, creating 2,000 jobs.
