Civo acquires Kubefirst to enhance cloud computing services

M&A

  • Civo, a cloud-native service provider, has acquired Kubefirst, an open-source GitOps-powered Kubernetes platform, from Kubeshop, its parent company. The terms of the deal, including the purchase price, have not been disclosed.

  • Kubefirst has been an open-source project since 2019. It is primarily focused on providing an instant production-grade Kubernetes Platform powered by GitOps. Even after Civo's acquisition, Kubefirst will continue operating under its existing brand, maintaining its open-source software version and cloud provider integrations.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Kubefirst is a cloud-native platform that simplifies the Kubernetes journey by offering a scalable, open-source, vendor-agnostic, self-hosted solution for application delivery and infrastructure management. It automates platform provisioning, integrates CNCF (cloud-native computing foundation) tools, and enables a GitOps workflow, allowing users to quickly build and deploy cloud-native applications.
