Flexnode, a modular data center startup, secured USD 8.85 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Zacua Ventures, with participation from Yes VC, Arup, SHoP Architects, and JE Dunn.
Flexnode aims to use the newly acquired funds to expand its global operations. The company revealed plans to double its workforce and is set to launch its first modular facilities in the coming year.
Flexnode's modular data centers are designed to be agile and adaptable, with configurations potentially ranging from four to 36 racks. The data centers can be deployed rapidly and incorporate innovative cooling technologies to reduce energy consumption. The company is also developing new technologies, such as a manifold microchannel heatsink and a hybrid immersion cooling approach.
