Tavus raises USD 18 million in Series A funding to accelerate product development

Funding

  • GenAI video personalization platform Tavus has raised USD 18 million in Series A funding led by Scale Venture Partners, with participation from Sequoia Capital, Y Combinator, HubSpot, and others. Rory O'Driscoll from Scale Venture Partners joined Tavus' board of directors.

  • The funds will be used to accelerate Tavus' product development and model advancement. The company also plans to expand its sales in the enterprise and mid-market sectors.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The new funding comes a year after the company’s seed round of USD 6.1 million. Tavus, popularly known for creating digital "replicas" via face and voice cloning, has been able to attract clients like Salesforce and Meta. The company has introduced its Phoenix model, which reportedly can generate realistic talking head videos with dynamic 3D facial scenes.
