Microsoft launches Copilot for Security platform to improve model security

Product updates

  • Microsoft has introduced Microsoft Copilot for Security, targeted toward empowering cybersecurity professionals. The service aims to improve the understanding of security threats and reduce the time required for discovering security issues.

  • The new feature is integrated with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR. It’s powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4 and Microsoft’s AI models. The service allows users to generate AI prompts tailored to their businesses. It also supports integrations with third-party software and offers language support for eight languages.

  • Microsoft Security's Copilot is scheduled to roll out in April and has been in public preview since November 2023. A study cited by Microsoft suggests that users of Copilot were 22% faster and 7% more accurate in their tasks. Moreover, 97% of those surveyed expressed an interest in using Copilot for future tasks.
