VR game developer Thirdverse raises USD 3.3 million to strengthen dev team for upcoming VR titles

Funding

  • VR game development company Thirdverse raised USD 3.3 million in a funding round underwritten by Nissei Capital and VeriServe through a third-party allotment of shares.

  • The f unds were earmarked to strengthen the development team for its VR titles, X8 (a multiplayer hero shooter), Soul Covenant (an action game), and other upcoming projects.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The round follows Thirdverse’s USD 8 million round in November 2023 to develop X8 and Soul Covenant. The investment was notably raised against a weakened video games industry, with multiple prominent game studios announcing layoffs.
