NVIDIA expands Omniverse Cloud with new APIs for industrial digital twins

Product updates

  • NVIDIA, developer of digital twin solutions, has announced APIs for its Omniverse Cloud to enable creation and operation of digital twin applications and workflows for various software manufacturers.

  • The new Omniverse Cloud APIs include 1) USD Render to visualize OpenUSD data; 2) USD Write to modify OpenUSD data; 3) USD Query, which enables interactive scenario queries; 4) USD Notify, which tracks changes to the OpenUSD data; and 5) Omniverse Channel, which facilitates collaboration across differing digital scenes.

  • The company claims that using the Omniverse Cloud APIs provides more immersive experiences in their digital twins to clients through GenAI. This helps in designing, building, and validating products, manufacturing processes, and factories virtually before creating them in reality. Omniverse Cloud APIs' existing clients include Ansys, Cadence, Dassault Systèmes, Hexagon, Microsoft, Rockwell Automation, and Siemens.
