Solarcycle, a technology-focused solar recycling firm, has expanded its partnership with Silfab Solar, a manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems, to purchase ultra-low-carbon domestic glass for solar panels.
Solarcycle's upcoming facility in Georgia is about 300 miles from Silfab Solar's newest factory in South Carolina, which will add 1 GW of American-made cell production and another 1.3 GW of module production after the partnership.
As part of the partnership, the two companies claim to reduce climate impacts by over 30% during manufacturing and more than 50% from shipping.
