Singapore-based Atome, a flexible embedded payment solution provider, has partnered with Chubb, a digital insurance provider, to co-create a range of insurance products for Atome's customers in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
Through this partnership, Atome will leverage Chubb’s digital insurance technology to debut its first insurance product Bill Secure, an insurance policy that covers up to five times the transaction amount for BNPL consumers in case of permanent disability or accidental death. Bill Secure is available in Singapore and will launch in Malaysia later this month. A second product, Shopping Secure, is set to launch in the second quarter.
Analyst QuickTake: Atome is actively pursuing its product diversification strategy focused on expanding its offerings to provide services, such as insurance, cards, and investments. The company had also secured USD 31 million through an internal share conversion in January 2024 to support its ongoing diversification efforts.
