DataStax integrates with Google Cloud's Vertex AI to simplify enterprise GenAI application development

Partnerships

  • DataStax, a data storage and retrieval firm for developing GenAI applications, has partnered with Google Cloud to integrate its database platform AstraDB with Google's Vertex AI Extensions and Vertex AI Search. The collaboration aims to simplify the development of AI applications.

  • This partnership between DataStax and Google Cloud intends to make it easier for developers to use their data in AI applications, particularly in applications that employ retrieval augmented generation (RAG).

  • Notably, DataStax has developed a fashion recommendation app, "Fashion Buddy," and a customer support chatbot, "NoSQL Assistant," by employing these integrations. The companies' offerings claim to ensure high standards of security and transparency.
