Cedars-Sinai expands virtual healthcare platform

Product updates

  • Cedars-Sinai, a California-based health system, has expanded its virtual healthcare platform, Cedars-Sinai Connect. The platform now includes a Spanish version of the app aimed at parents of three- to 17-year-old children and Spanish-speaking adults.

  • The AI-powered platform allows access to healthcare providers for urgent issues such as colds, rashes, flu, and coughs either through on-demand or scheduled visits. Spanish-speaking adults can use the app in their native language while accessing primary care services to manage chronic conditions.

  • Cedars-Sinai is a non-profit medical center that provides primary and specialty care services. The company provides in-person care services and virtual consultations via Cedars-Sinai Connect. The company’s in-care facilities include a full suite of testing and treatment facilities, while its platform facilitates consultations for primary, urgent, and mental health care. Cedars-Sinai additionally carries out research initiatives, functioning as a clinical research organization to operate clinical trials across various fields, including stem cell biology, immunology, and genetics. As of April 2024, the company had over 40 in-person care facility locations, providing treatment for over 17 specialties, had a staff size of over 4,500 physicians and nurses, and had 1,500 research projects in progress.
