Growcer, a Canadian vertical farming firm, has secured CAD 3 million (~USD 2.19 million) in a series A funding round led by Modern Niagara, Jeff Westeinde, and Farm Boy Co-CEO Jeff York.
The funds will be used to expand its market presence in the northeastern US and broaden its product range. The company focuses on providing modular vertical farms; these structures allow customers, ranging from retailers to schools and remote communities, to grow food all year round.
