Joby Aviation partners with DMT, Abu Dhabi, to establish air taxi services

  • Joby Aviation, an NYSE-listed eVTOL developer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), the Department of Economic Development (DED), and the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) of Abu Dhabi to facilitate and scale air taxi services across Abu Dhabi.

  • The MoU will pave the way for zero-emission air taxi operations between Dubai and Abu Dhabi from 2025. DMT expects to enhance the quality of experiences offered to the locals and visitors by adopting green transportation solutions.

  • Joby Aviation's aircraft is designed to carry a pilot and four passengers at a speed of up to 200 miles per hour and a maximum range of 100 miles. will be showcased in Abu Dhabi during the DRIFTx event, under the supervision of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
