Edgio launches attack surface management for continuous web application threat management

Product updates

  • Edgio, a firm offering secure and fast online experiences and content, has launched an Attack Surface Management solution (ASM). The tool aims to discover web assets, provide an inventory of technologies, identify security exposures, and manage the response to these exposures.

  • The key features of Edgio’s ASM include continuous inventory tracking of all external web applications, automatic detection of potential vulnerabilities, and a centralized interface to manage the remediation of all security issues. It also offers web application and API protection (WAAP) to protect against DDoS and malicious code injection threats.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The announcement comes after Edgio launched a new bot management solution that leverages machine learning to detect and mitigate a wide range of evolving and malicious bots. Furthermore, in late 2023, Edgio raised USD 66 million in post-IPO debt to strengthen its financial position and support the execution of its strategic objectives.
