Chronic care-focused management company Thyme Care has launched Enhanced Supportive Care services, a virtual palliative care program for members and caregivers.
The company has appointed Julia Frydman as its first-ever medical director for palliative care, who will be responsible for the new program.
The new program will aid eligible patients and their caregivers in managing physical and psychological symptoms related to cancer. This online program's key features include complex medical decision-making guidance, aligning patient goals and values with their treatment plans, consistently working with patient oncologists, and providing clinical oversight and mentorship to the care team. The company also plans to broaden its clinician base by hiring nurse practitioners by the end of the year.
