OVE, a biometric payment services provider, has partnered with Fingerprint Cards (FPC), a biometric sensor and software provider, to launch a prototype of "Touch and Go," a fingerprint sensor used for biometric retail payments.
The partnership allows the solution to leverage Fingerprint Card's technology to provide mobile payments for bars, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. Additionally, the company claims that the solution can store “millions” of fingerprint hashes in the cloud securely and allows payments from different account types to be linked to individual fingerprints. Moreover, the system connects to the retailer's existing point-of-sale system through Wi-Fi.
Furthermore, OVE is in the process of conducting a seed funding round to support its commercialization, which is expected to be at the end of 2024.
OVE Touch and Go offers an identity and payment service that leverages biometric technology for secure and convenient transactions. Its platform allows users to link different payment methods, including credit cards and bank accounts, to individual fingerprints.
