Rad AI raises USD 50 million in Series B funding to expand operations

Funding

  • Rad AI, a provider of GenAI solutions for healthcare, has raised USD 50 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from WiL, ARTIS Ventures, OCV Partners, Kickstart Fund, and Gradient Ventures.

  • The funds will fuel the company's efforts to develop and distribute its products globally. They will also support the expansion of the company's dedicated team, which is focused on addressing complex challenges in healthcare and technology.

  • Rad AI's core product is AI-powered software that reduces the time it takes for radiologists to go through their workloads, consequently lessening fatigue and burnout. Rad AI's models are reportedly trained on some of the largest healthcare datasets in the world, enabling them to deliver high accuracy and individual customization.

  • Analyst QuickTake: With this, Rad AI joins a couple of companies that raised funds in recent months to develop healthcare workflow solutions, including Alaffia Health that raised USD 10 million last month, Abridge that received an undisclosed amount from NVIDIA in March, and Ambience Healthcare that raised USD 70 million in February.
