Elcogen, an Estonian developer of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), fuel-cell stacks, and electrolyzer cells (SOEC), reported plans to develop a new factory at the Loovälja Industrial Park in Tallinn, Estonia.
Construction of the new 14,000 m2 facility began in January and is expected to commence operations in mid-2025. This will expand Elcogen’s manufacturing capacity of Elcogen’s SOFC and SOEC cells from 10 MW to 360 MW.
Analyst QuickTake: This follows Elcogen raising EUR 31 million in funding from Baker Hughes and Mirae in April 2024 . The company intended to use the funding to expand its manufacturing facilities in Estonia.
