Kenco partners with AutoStore to install ASRS at Jeffersonville distribution center

Partnerships

  • AutoStore, a developer of automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), has partnered with Kenco, a third-party logistics provider, to install AutoStore's ASRS at the latter's distribution center in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

  • The system comprises 49,000 bins, 130 grid robots, 10 picking ports, and four replenishment ports, with an estimated annual throughput of 15 million units.

  • The project is set to go live in the summer of 2024 (June–September) and will support Kenco’s ecommerce business.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The Jeffersonville installation is Kenco’s second AutoStore project. However, the first only served one of Kenco’s Fortune 500 clients, unlike this installation which will handle orders from multiple clients.
