Bene Meat Technologies introduces cultivated meat pet food at Interzoo Trade Fair

Product updates

  • Bene Meat Technologies, a Czech startup focused on developing cultivated meat for food and feed, has unveiled its pet food product for dogs and cats at the recent Interzoo Trade Fair held in Nuremberg.

  • This cultivated pet food claims to be a source of ethical and sustainable nutrition. The company does not utilize fetal bovine serum (FBS) in its production process and plans to launch its product commercially by the end of 2024.

  • Analyst QuickTake: In November 2023, the company received EU approval for its lab-grown meat product, allowing it to begin scaled production ahead of its planned commercial launch. Meatly, another company using cultivated meat for pet foods, recently unveiled OmniFeast , a product made using cultivated chicken.
