DataBank, an Edge data center colocation provider, is developing two new data centers in Orangeburg, New York, to meet the growing demand for IT infrastructure and services.
The first data center on the Orangeburg campus, LGA3, is expected to be completed by early 2025 and will provide 200,000 sq ft of data center capacity. It will deliver 30 MW of critical power—expandable to 45 MW—through an on-site substation. Plans for a second facility, LGA4, are also in progress.
Analyst QuickTake: In April 2024, DataBank secured USD 725 million in debt financing to accelerate construction projects throughout several US cities and bolster its data center infrastructure. Presently, the company oversees a network of 69 data centers, collectively supporting a critical IT load of 473 MW.
