Lens Lab to launch layer-2 network for Web3 social media apps

Product updates

  • Lens Lab, the developer of Aave’s decentralized social media protocol, is set to launch Lens Network to support Web3 social media applications. The company will also host a new version of its decentralized social network, Lens Protocol, on this network.

  • Lens Network is a layer-2 protocol developed using Matter Labs’ modular ZK stack infrastructure and will support high-throughput and account abstraction for gasless and signless transactions.

  • The network will facilitate integrations with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and non-EVM compatible blockchains, enabling the development of Lens-based social applications across diverse networks.
