Amazon Bedrock has expanded its model offerings by incorporating Anthropic's Claude 3 Opus Foundation Model. This model, known for its advanced capabilities in text and image generation, joins Bedrock's existing suite of models, including AI21 Labs' Jurassic, Cohere's Command and Embed, Meta's LLaMA 2, Stability AI's Stable Diffusion, and Amazon's Titan models.
Bedrock's recent updates also include the ability to import custom models, allowing data scientists to train proprietary models on private data using Amazon SageMaker and then integrate them into Bedrock. SageMaker itself has been updated to support several new model variants, including three from LLaMA 2 and two from Mistral 7B.
Claude 3 Opus, which serves diverse domains with activities including complex task automation, extensive research, and strategy analysis, is considered to contribute to Bedrock's integrated service of foundation models' comparative advantage.
