Google has unveiled a new update for its AI aid, Gemini on Android, which will now integrate with Android's mobile OS and Google's applications.
With Gemini on Android, users will be able to bring up the AI overlay while using an app, allowing for smoother and more integrated AI usability. Key features of this update include the ability to drag and drop AI-generated images into Gmail and Google Messages, a feature in YouTube that lets users draw specific info from videos, and an "Ask this PDF" option available only to Gemini Advanced subscribers.
These new features will be implemented in millions of supported devices in the coming months. Gemini on Android will also evolve over time to offer suggestions related to users' screen content. In addition, a foundational update, Gemini Nano, will be expanded to text input processing and other processing methods such as visuals, sounds, and spoken language.
