Norwegian flood intelligence startup 7Analytics has raised EUR 4 million (USD 4.4 million) in a seed funding round led by Scale Capital. This brings the company's total funding to USD 6.8 million.
The funding will be used to expand its operations, particularly in the US, with plans to step up in the disaster prediction arena. Part of the funding will also be used to scale up its AI and machine learning algorithms to develop high-precision flood and landslide prediction models.
Founded in 2020, 7Analytics uses hydrology, geology, and data science in its AI-driven product suite to create high-precision risk models that can help asset owners and insurers predict climate risks. The company’s product suite includes: InzureFlood, FloodCube Realtime,FloodCube Planning, RiskCube, and GeoCube. As of May 2024, the platform is used by more than 40 customers.
