WekaIO, a startup offering a data management and storage solution, has raised USD 140 million in an oversubscribed two-part Series E funding round led by Valor Equity Partners, with participation from NVIDIA Corp, Qualcomm Ventures, and Hitachi Ventures. Following the round, Weka's total external funding stands at over USD 415 million.
The round values Weka at USD 1.6 billion, reportedly more than double its previous valuation.
The company will use the fresh funding to augment its cash reserves, giving it options to rapidly scale its business to meet global demand and expand investments to develop its data platform.
