Oceansix acquires Original RePack Oy for CAD 2.4 million; aims to reduce single-use packaging

M&A

  • Oceansix Future Paths Ltd, a recycling and manufacturing technology solutions provider, has acquired Original RePack Oy (RePack), a company specializing in reusable packaging systems, for CAD 2.4 million (~USD 1.8 million).

  • Oceansix plans to use Original RePack's expertise in reusable packaging to reduce the dependence on single-use packaging in ecommerce deliveries.

  • RePack is a Finnish company focused on sustainable products and business model solutions for ecommerce. It creates efficient reuse systems to minimize the need for continuous packaging replenishment and  promotes sustainability through a convenient return system for customers.

  • Oceansix Future Paths (formerly known as Alkemy) is an environmental technology company based in Israel that specializes in recycling and producing products from post-consumer polyethylene bags and sheets. The company manufactures and sells recycled polyethylene products, such as geomembranes, sheets, root barriers, and gas barriers.
