New York-based mental health tech startup Happify Health has raised USD 73 million in a Series D funding round led by Deerfield Management Company with participation from Omega Capital Partners, ION Crossover Partners, and existing investors. This brings total funds raised up to USD 123 million.
The proceeds will be used to expand its service offerings, establish business opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, provide specialized solutions for corporate customers, and expand its team. The funds will also be invested in enhancing its AI-based digital mental health coach, Anna.
Founded in 2012, Happify Health offers a self-care app and AI-powered chatbot that helps users navigate mental health challenges. The company also develops evidence-based digital therapeutic and care delivery tools for healthcare providers, health plans, individuals, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. As of March 2021, the platform has served more than 5 million individuals.
