DataStax has announced the upcoming launch of DataStax HCDP (Hyper-Converged Data Platform) and the latest version of DataStax Enterprise (DSE) 6.9. Both products aim to enable users to integrate GenAI and vector search capabilities into their independent enterprise data cases.
DataStax HCDP is designed for Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) to support comprehensive data workloads and AI systems. It brings OpenSearch and Apache Pulsar for Generative AI RAG Knowledge Retrieval. DataStax Enterprise 6.9 enhances existing on-premises data with GenAI capabilities and introduces vector search for DSE and Cassandra workloads.
The company claims that DataStax HCDP and DSE 6.9 can reduce operating costs and operational overhead, facilitate quicker response times, provide advanced on-premises data, and deliver better contextual GenAI experiences.
