Microsoft unveiled new data and AI enhancements to Fabric, its all-in-one analytics platform, at the Build 2024 conference. These enhancements include Real-Time Intelligence, Trusted Workspace Access for Fabric, Copilot for Fabric, and the Microsoft Fabric Workload Development Kit.

Real-Time Intelligence module offers an end-to-end solution for ingesting, processing, analyzing, visualizing, monitoring, alerting, and acting on events. It empowers users, analysts, data engineers, and developers to build solutions that integrate signals, provide valuable insights and alerts, and orchestrate real-time operations. Leveraging Copilot and AI, users can also ask complex questions using natural language and receive automatic alerts on high-value anomalies within vast datasets.

Trusted Workspace Access for Fabric data pipelines allows users to create data pipelines to access their firewall-enabled Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 accounts, and leverages the workspace identity to establish a secure and seamless connection between Fabric and storage accounts. 

Copilot for Fabric is now generally available, with users able to leverage the AI assistant to create dataflows, generate code, build ML models, and visualize results using conversational language.

The Microsoft Fabric Workload Development Kit, now in preview, allows developers to create applications that integrate with Fabric. The new API for GraphQL and user data functions streamline data access and management across Fabric's services, enhancing the development of custom applications and workflows.
