Baichuan, a Beijing-based AI start-up, has revealed its first AI assistant service, called "Baixiaoying." It is powered by an upgraded model, Baichuan 4, which claims to outperform other models, including GPT-4 Turbo from OpenAI and Claude 3 Opus from Anthropic, in assessing Chinese language capabilities.
Baixiaoying boasts features like customer interactions for preciseness, the ability to guide users in asking the right questions, and thorough search functionalities.
Analyst QuickTake: Baichuan 4, designed specifically for understanding and using the Chinese language, is currently considered the best on SuperCLUE, a platform for testing Chinese LLMs. The company claims that Baixiaoying has benefits over other chatbots like Baidu’s Ernie bot and Moonshot AI’s Kimi, as it can understand and process user queries and guide them to ask more precise questions for accurate responses. This feature is expected to simplify chatbot usage for local consumers, making the service more user-friendly.
