  • Inworld AI, a platform for creating synthetic AI characters, has released a new feature called "Inworld Voice." This new service offers AI-generated, expressive voices designed primarily for use in video games, audiobooks, and voice assistants.

  • Inworld Voice offers several features, including latency, rhythm, intonation, pitch variation, and pausing. The service is also backed by machine-learning models that allow customization to suit various projects.

  • Users can select from 58 AI-enhanced voices that mimic human speech patterns.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Inworld is renowned for its Character Engine, which can bring virtual beings to life based on text descriptions. Since emerging from stealth in 2021, it has raised approximately USD 120 million in funding, with the latest round being USD 50 million which valued the company at USD 500 million. The company partnered with Microsoft in November last year, offering its technology to Xbox developers to incorporate GenAI-assisted content into games.
