Microsoft introduces Copilot bot for conversations on Telegram

Partnerships

  • Microsoft has introduced its chatbot, Copilot, for Telegram. This beta-phase service is freely available to Telegram users on mobile and desktop platforms. The bot is a conversational tool that allows users to communicate and ask queries.

  • Copilot for Telegram adopts the model of a regular conversational partner within Telegram's messaging app. Key features of this product include the ability to search for information, answer user questions, and engage in everyday conversation. Several other AI companies are also providing similar services through messaging apps.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The notable advantage of using Copilot for Telegram is the ability it gives users to interact with AI just like they would in a regular chat. However, to access the service, users are required to share their Telegram phone number with Microsoft, an action that may raise privacy concerns among certain users due to Telegram's stated commitment to strict privacy policies.
