Mistral AI, an open-source developer of foundation models, has released Codestral, a model for coding to assist developers.
The model has 22 billion parameters and is programmed in 80 programming languages, including Java, Python, JavaScript, and C++. Additionally, the model can complete coding functions, compose test scenarios, fill in partial code, and answer queries about the codebase in English.
The company also launched Mistral AI non-production license (MNPL) , which allows developers to use the models for non-commercial and research purposes.
