ZEDEDA, a company specializing in Edge management and orchestration, has joined the steering committee of the Linux Foundation's Margo project.
ZEDEDA joins founding members ABB, Capgemini, Microsoft, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, and Siemens in the Margo project. Darren Kimura, ZEDEDA's president and COO, will represent the company on the steering committee. Co-founder and CTO Erik Nordmark will join the technical working group, and Sarah Beaudoin, senior director of marketing communications and partner marketing, will participate in the marketing working group.
The Margo project, launched by the Linux Foundation, is an open-source initiative to develop open standards for interoperability in Edge computing within industrial automation environments by creating an open standard, a reference implementation, and an extensive compliance testing toolkit.
