Cloudera, a data infrastructure and analytics company, has acquired Verta, a machine-learning infrastructure company, for an undisclosed sum.
Through the acquisition, Cloudera aims to enhance its AI capabilities by integrating Verta's Operational AI platform, as well as onboarding the latter’s workforce, which could help the company further expand its AI capabilities.
Verta was initially a platform for task-based model management, but it has gradually transitioned its focus toward large language models (LLMs) that are increasingly used today. It has developed into a control center for such models.
