Fairmat, a Paris-based company offering carbon fiber composite recycling solutions, has partnered with carbon fiber manufacturing company Hexcel Corporation to enter a 10-year deal to recycle carbon fiber composite materials.
As per the partnership, Hexcel will provide Fairmat with composite material scrap from its Salt Lake City manufacturing site for recycling at its new facility in Utah.
Analyst QuickTake: This agreement builds on Hexcel’s existing partnership with Fairmat to recycle composite for scrap generated by Hexel’s European operations. Fairmat’s 15,000 sq ft recycling facility, located near Hexcel’s Salt Lake City production facility, supports the partnership.
