Navan (formerly known as TripActions), which offers a one-stop app for travel and expenses, has appointed Amy Butte as its chief financial officer (CFO).
Butte was previously the Audit Committee Chair of Navan and has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Her track record includes taking companies public in various capacities, including as the CFO of NYSE when it went public.
Butte is expected to lead Navan into its next growth phase in her new role where its travel booking platform has experienced 2x YoY growth in forward bookings amidst a surge in corporate travel.
Analyst Quickake : It has been speculated that the new appointment comes amid plans for the company to prepare for an IPO in the future. In May 2024 , it was reported that Navan’s CEO, Ariel Cohen, had stated that the firm was “not far” from an IPO.
