Bunq partners with Mastercard to advance AI in open banking across Europe

Partnerships

  • Bunq, a Dutch neobank offering digital banking services to individuals and businesses, has collaborated with Mastercard to use its open banking platform for advanced personal financial management using AI.

  • Through this partnership, Bunq users across Europe can now access a complete depiction of their financial portfolio across multiple bank accounts via the Bunq app, improving budget planning and spending control. The integration also includes Bunq's AI money assistant, Finn, which enhances transaction insights and user experience.

  • This partnership makes Bunq the first European bank to apply AI in open banking and may lead to increased user engagement and efficiency in managing multiple bank accounts. The advanced features are presently accessible in the Netherlands, France, and Germany, with a plan to extend access throughout Europe.
