Voda raises GBP 270,000 in pre-seed funding round to enhance LGBTQIA+ mental wellness app

Funding

  • Voda has secured GBP 270,000 (~USD 345,154) in pre-seed funding led by SCE Freiraum Ventures.

  • This funding is expected to enhance the app's offering to support LGBTQIA+ individuals in building self-compassion, healing, and releasing shame by providing inclusive and accessible mental health resources.

  • UK-based Voda offers an LGBTQIA+ mental wellness app that educates users on evidence-based therapy methods for self-regulation, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. Co-designed with seven LGBTQIA+ psychotherapists who represent diverse gender, sexuality, and ethnic backgrounds, the platform currently supports over 120,000 LGBTQIA individuals worldwide, including 4,000 users in the UK, which constitutes the largest percentage of its global user base.
