Anterior raises USD 20 million in Series A funding to expand operations

Funding

  • AI-driven healthcare firm Anterior has raised USD 20 million in a Series A round led by NEA, with participation from Sequoia, Neo, co-founder of DeepMind and Inflection AI Mustafa Suleyman, and a group of angel investors. This round values the company at USD 95 million.

  • Anterior plans to use the funding to expand its operations into other areas of medical administration.

  • Anterior, previously known as Co:helm, offers an AI tool that aids doctors and nurses in efficiently collating medical records required for insurance authorization. This functional enhancement not only aims to diminish denial rates but also expedite patient care.

  • Analyst QuickTake: With this, Anterior joins a slew of healthcare companies that raised funds this year to develop healthcare workflow solutions, including Alaffia Health , which raised USD 10 million in April, Abridge , which received an undisclosed amount from NVIDIA in March, and Ambience Healthcare , which raised USD 70 million in February.
